Welcome to the Maternity Services Department at MedCentral
Health System – Mansfield
and Shelby
hospitals! Here are just some of the advantages of our services:
Experience
Our nurses have an average of 11 years experience. We love our work –
and our mothers and babies.
Safety
We have supportive services for you and your baby 24 hours a day in
case your "normal" delivery suddenly becomes high risk.
Education
During your prenatal period (before birth) we offer childbirth classes
for you and your support person, as well as sibling tours for your other
children.
Security
We have an infant security system in place, so you can rest assured
that your baby is in a safe environment.
New technology
A new innovative hearing screening test for newborns is just one
example of the technological advances we are continually embracing.
Family
We realize how important family is at such a happy event, so if you
want them close by, that's fine with us. If your support person wants to
stay all night we can accommodate him or her. If you want a nap, we will
care for your baby. We want to make sure your stay with us is truly
memorable.
As you leave, we provide a free deli tray. Family and friends can view
your newborn on our
web site.
